This house is located on the corner of 3rd Avenue East and 22nd Street, and belonged to the Dear family: Franklin, Caroline, and their son Hubert. A mining man, Frank Dear arrived in Hibbing in 1892 and would later be elected as Hibbing’s ninth mayor. Many of our resources indicate that this was the first home moved from North Hibbing to South Hibbing in 1919.
